We are always seeking sponsors to ensure the future of the Fair. Sponsorship
comes in many forms and on many levels, through the donation of monies, products
and services. Please read over our proposal. To inquire about sponsorship, contact: Lynne Durkee, Vice President, Liaison
or Shirley Miranda, Director.
Our Needs:
- We need volunteer professionals of all
fields and disciplines to provide advice, mentorship, and research resources (e.g.,
lab space and supervision) for aspiring students with developing research questions.
- We need volunteer graduate students; professors; physical, biological, earth and space,
and social scientists, medical and health practitioners, engineers, technical experts,
mathematicians, and members of other professional disciplines to help in the project
screening process (at city and county schools, in January and February), and/or to serve
as Fair judges on opening day, one day (i.e., one morning) each year.
- We need paper stock, general office supplies, and printing and photocopying
facilities and services, 3 IBM type computers, 2 scanners, 3 color printers, 2 fax
machines; contributions toward refreshments for up to 700 general Fair judges and
up to 1,000 lunches for Fair participants on judging day each year.
- We need youthful/energetic (not necessarily young) persons from all sectors
of business, finance, profesional/technical fields to volunteer time, share expertise, and
possibly service on our GSDSEF Management Committee, without compensation.
- We need year-to-year private, foundational, and corporate monetary contributions
to meet short-term Fair production expenses (General Fund) of approximately $80,000 annually.
- We need money and asset contributions dedicated to the GSDSEF Endowment Fund
which has a $600,000 one-time goal; investment interest from this fully-funded account will
enable the Fair to be self-supporting in the long-term.
